I grew up in the era when abstract art was king but realism was staging a comeback with the pop art of the 60s and photorealism of the 70s. A product of my time, I have a thing for combining principles from both abstraction and realism.

An ancient Egyptian symbol for water breaks this piece into four sections. The second section from the bottom is the theoretical concept of “structured water”. The other three states of water should be relatively easy to identify. The molecular structure of the four states of water is referred to by the small circles rising through the piece.
