I did the design for “During the Time of Refuge” three years before the CV-19 breakout. When what the piece is about, a time of crisis when people are indoors, started happening the voodoo kicked in and I had to paint the thing. I was really in that world when I painted it.

Hang on. At least the story in the painting has a happy ending!
